The article, “Why Is Dating in the App Era Such Hard Work?” shares a background history of the dating process, and explains why we are currently in the early stages of another dating revolution because of the internet. The quantity of relationships are endless because of the various dating platforms, but the internet is transforming the quality of relationships. The article explores the fine line between dating and sex work, and explains how love will never rid itself of economic consideration. More people are treating dating like a shopping spree and there is less commitment, causing overall less satisfaction for individuals. It is a very intriguing read that is relevant to those being affected by online dating. It is interesting reading about the impact of something that is so simple and affects our daily lives. I’ve never thought about common dating apps contributing to a dating revolution.
